World Water Day

World Water Day is an event celebrated on 22 March to spread awareness of water and inspire people around the world to understand the importance of freshwater and it's sustainable use.

It also focuses on access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) universal facilities in developing countries.

The other issue is the global water crisis which includes challenges like water scarcity, water pollution, inadequate water supply and the lack of sanitation for billions of people in developing countries.

Year after year UN-Water selects themes relating water to energy, jobs, sustainable development and why the water is wasted to how to use nature to overcome the problems.

The theme of World Water Day 2019 is "Leaving no one behind". Water, of all the things in the world is the most important necessity of the existence of humankind,  and this year the theme focuses on water  for all.

Getting freshwater for all is a human right and everyone should do their bit to save water in any way they can.

There are a plethora of problems existing due to the unavailability of freshwater.  So this World Water Day,  let's all take a step and save water however we can.

Each drop of water counts!
